OKC | Oklahoma City Wildlife Photographer ; )

My hunky hub ran the OKC half marathon last weekend. First let me brag on him: He had never run more than 10 miles before (and had only done that once), and he finished 72nd out of over 25,000 participants. And he got 12th in his age group. He ran the entire 13.1 miles in an hour and a half. He’s a rockstar and I am so proud of him!

While we were in the city we took the kiddos to the zoo, a baseball game, played some tennis, swam in the hotel pool, rode a horse-drawn carriage… ohmygosh, we had so much fun. I didn’t pull my camera out much because I wanted to be Mama and not Photographer, but I snagged a few photos at the zoo.

It was unexpectedly cold, so he wore a pajama shirt over his shirt. Also, his shoes are on the wrong feet. Ha!

OKC is an awesome city. I’m thankful it’s only 2 hours away so that we can escape every now and then and feel like we took a “real” vacation.

Feeling Inspired | Tulsa Anthropologie Addict

I have been drawing inspiration from tons of places lately. A walk through Anthropologie will always leave me feeling refreshed and inspired (it will also leave me feeling broke, but that’s a topic for another time ; ) You almost need to carry a notebook with you in there to jot down all the decorating ideas and other creative ideas that fill your mind the second you walk in the door. Color, texture, prints, and the pairing of color and texture and prints, is absolutely everywhere.

Speaking of Anthro, I did a session inside the store the other day (they won’t let you do this if just you go in and ask — so don’t badger them!) And it was so much fun. I spent time with these two adorable fashion bloggers and they were totally up for everything, which is easy to love! ; ) Although it seems like almost a sin to post a non-color photo of the inside of Anthropologie, I have taken a liking to this black and white:

E & S | Tulsa Engagement Photographer

I wrote a little about this couple here, so I won’t say too much more and will let the images from their engagement session speak for themselves. This was such a fun shoot for me, not only because E & S are so much fun (SO much fun!) but because we got to shoot with E’s grandpa’s (great uncle’s…?) badass old car. It actually took them a lot longer to get to the session than they had planned, because the car is a stick shift and has no power steering. HA!
