January 14th & January 28th are the upcoming boudoir events. The sessions will take place downtown in a fabulous suite at the Mayo Hotel. (If you haven’t been, check it out) The room is 1300 square feet of absolute gorgeousness.

Here is an excerpt from a blog post I wrote last year. I posted it last month so if you’ve already read it, ignore me.
Boudoir is something that I think lots of women dream of doing, but don’t feel they’re good enough for. I really hope I can do my part in smashing those thoughts to smithereens.
As someone whose struggled with self-image since girlhood, bore a child (now two children!), and posed for boudoir— I’ll tell it to you straight. There is nothing for a girl’s confidence like getting dolled up and having the “paparazzi” follow you for an hour or two ; ) And what husband wouldn’t love images like this?

But really, it’s not about your husband. It’s about you and owning yourself and doing away with the stupid crap you tell yourself. Instead of nitpicking in the mirror and finding all your flaws, you can have something tangible to look at when you don’t feel beautiful. You can confidently say “I look HOT!”
You don’t need to lose x amount of pounds before you do it. You don’t need to wait until you have somebody to share them with. You don’t need anything but the desire to feel gorgeous, because believe it or not, you already are. I’ll prove it to you!

Here are some common questions & their answers:
Q: I’m not good at being “sexy”. Won’t I just look stupid?
A: This is a common one. No worries! You won’t look stupid in front of me, and you won’t look stupid in your photos. I will pose and guide you and say silly things every step of the way to make you totally at ease. The atmosphere is a lot like two girlfriends hanging out– champagne, music, laughing, and absolutely no pressure. I have seen it all, and I think every woman I have shot, regardless of shape or size, is absolutely beautiful in the way God made her. You are more than welcome to bring your best friend, your mom, your sister or anyone else along if it will contribute to your positive experience!
Q: What would I do with the photos once I have them?
A: Hang them in your living room! Just kidding. Although once you see how gorgeous you are, you may want to. The most common way my clients choose to give their boudoir images is in a 3×3 accordion album. Many happy husbands received them as stocking stuffers this Christmas : ) They are discreet and easy to keep with you, vs a larger album which, at least in my house, would probably sit in a closet. If your husband is in the military or if he travels a lot for business, these are especially perfect.

Just as often, I have women order each photo in a 4×6 to put in a wrapped box. I’ve had a few emails from husbands who received this as a gift and they were VERY HAPPY CAMPERS! Of course you are not limited to any number of products to order. There are several images from each session that are from the shoulders up which would be more than appropriate to get on canvas or in a larger print for hubby’s office. Be creative!
Q: Will you post my images on Facebook?
A: Not if you don’t want me to. Most of my clients opt out of public sneak peeks, and I simply email their peeks directly to them.
Q: How will I justify the expense to my husband?
A: As one husband recently emailed me, “That was the best money my wife has ever spent!”
I don’t think they need too much of an explanation : )

“Boudoir was by FAR the most fun I’ve ever had in a photography session, and the best pictures I’ve ever had taken of me. I wish I lived closer so I could do it again! Madison, you work some magic with that camera – not even joking. MAGIC.” -Carissa, Chicago IL
“Love love love me some boudoir!!! I’m definitely having you do it again for me! It was such a great confidence booster and you really made me look and feel sexy! I highly recommend it and think every woman should do it at least once! : )” -Cassie, Tulsa OK
Here are the packages for the Valentine’s Event:

If you’re a guy reading this, wipe the drool off your keyboard and order your wife or girlfriend one of these gift certificates:

She will love it, and let’s be honest, it’s kind of a win-win for you.
Goodnight, everyone!
